Foaling Foaling is the visible culmination of approximately a year of effort invested in breeding and caring for the mare. At Carbondale Farms, we understand many of our clients are newcomers to the equine breeding business. For some, the foaling out of their mare is the realization of a dream. For all of us, it is a once in a lifetime event. We take the care and safety of your mare and newborn foal seriously while providing you with an experience that will become a cherished memory. Fortunately, the birth of a foal is not a complicated process, and foaling difficulties are considered unusual. However, if necessary, we keep an experienced attendant on duty all night to observe and assist foaling. Our veterinarian with, 20 years of experience, is only a phone call away.
